The Event

Show Dogs Of The Year Awards is an invite only exclusive event that honors the seven dogs that led their respective groups in the greatest number of group firsts won. The top obedience dog is also celebrated, as is the Best In Show Dog of the Year, to be given to the dog achieving the most all-breed Best in Show wins at AKC shows throughout the year.

The event also celebrates the people and organizations behind the dogs, nominated and voted on by the fancy in seven categories: Show Of The Year, Best Professional Handler, Judge Of The Year, Best Owner-Handler, and Outstanding Breeder.

Nominated by peers. Voted on by the fancy.

The Dogs in Review Annual Achievement Awards nominees are selected by a nominating committee comprised of seven active, experienced members of the purebred dog fancy residing throughout the United States. The nominees in each category will be listed for subscribers and readers to cast their vote.
